‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers reveal that actor Michael Easton is exiting his role as Hamilton Finn on the soap. Finn has been struggling ever since he lost his father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), to ALS.

Finn’s downfall started when, at Brook Lynn Quartermaine‘s (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase‘s (Josh Swickard) wedding, Finn accidentally took a sip of champagne.
That incident led him to hit the bottle hard the day after when he found Gregory had passed away during the night.
Finn’s spiral was quick and painful, as he lost his long-time girlfriend, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), to his stupidity when he brought home a woman from a bar, and Liz caught them kissing on his couch.
Violet was frightened, and she called Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). She told him she thought her daddy may have died.
After Finn woke up, he asked where his daughter was. That’s when Tracy informed him that Violet was gone and not coming back.
Meanwhile, Brook Lynn, and Chase filed a restraining order against Finn on behalf of Violet. The newlyweds did what they had to do to protect the little girl.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennessy) broke the news to Finn, and he wanted to fight back by hiring Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to represent him.
However, once Finn told him that he had recently resigned from his role at General Hospital, Scott knew he couldn’t represent him, and he needed a different kind of help.
Finally, Finn realized that if he was going to get his daughter back, he had to go to rehab. The characters’ exit details aren’t explained much further, but Finn is set to receive treatment. But we think a tragedy may occur before that happens.

Michael Easton’s Instagram message did sound like Finn’s absence from the show would be permanent. Easton shared on the social media platform that he had just finished filming his final scenes on GH.
“I’ve always been partial to the Irish goodbye, the actor said. “That’s where you leave the party without actually telling anyone you’re gone. But I thought you all deserve better.”
“I’ve loved every minute that I’ve been here,” Easton continued, “I want to thank the entire cast and crew for allowing me to share their stage this past 10 years. Most importantly, I want to thank you all for the kindness and love you’ve shown me and my family. I won’t ever forget you. And as I walk out here for the last time, and with apologies for the great Lou Gehrig, I feel like the luckiest man on the face of the earth.”
We surmise that the show may let go of Easton to make room for some of the old favorites set to return. Jonathan Jackson, who plays Lucky Spencer, just announced he will be returning to the show. If this is goodbye, we wish Easton well, and he and his character, Finn, will be sorely missed.
