General Hospital News: Johnny Wactor’s Official Cause Of Death Revealed

General Hospital (GH) news reveals that Johnny Wactor’s (Brando Corbin) cause of death was revealed today, with the Los Angels medical examiner’s report stating that the late actor died from a “gunshot wound to the chest.” There were no other contributing factors.

The death certificate noted that the fatal shooting occurred on a “street and/or highway” citing the death as a homicide. Wactor’s occupation was listed as “actor” and noted that he was a 15-year veteran of the entertainment industry.

Wactor was killed on Saturday, May 25 after surprising thieves who were in the process of stealing the catalytic convertor on his vehicle in Downtown Los Angeles.

Devastated fans penned emotional tributes to the actor with one posting “#justiceforJohnny” and another noting “This is such a heartbreaking tragedy. I hope Johnny’s family find some level of comfort knowing his last act of protecting his co-worker was heroic.”

Wactor’s remains were sent to his home state South Carolina and his body cremated. According to the Daily Mail, his ashes are now with his mother, Scarlett.

At the time of his death, Wactor was escorting his Sinners y Santos bar co-worker, Anita Joy, to her vehicle. At approximately 3:30 AM they encountered three masked individuals tampering with Wactor’s vehicle.

Wactor did not confront the suspects but was shot point blank after stepping in front of Joy to protect her.

Wactor was declared dead at a nearby hospital and the police have yet to apprehend the suspects. Following the shocking news, GH actors left emotional tributes for Wactor on social media.

Co-star Sofia Mattson, who played Brando’s wife Sasha Reeves, said on IG that she was heartbroken: “Johnny was one of those rare ‘real individuals’ that you almost never come across.

I was fortunate enough to have some really good conversations with him … He was a safe space for those conversations and, in turn, he would talk about his life. He genuinely cared about people and their journeys in life.”

Kristen Storms (Maxie Jones) wrote “I’m in a state of disbelief and complete sadness. I don’t typically do posts like this, but Johnny was such a special person and it feels important (for me) to put these words out there.

To @johnnywactor’s mother and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you must be feeling right now. You are in my thoughts and prayers.”
