Brook Lynn and Chase Come Up With a Plan to Help Violet — and Elizabeth Walks In on Finn With Another Woman

Drew shows up at the Metro Court pool for the evening. Willow is already in the pool with Wiley, and he’s surprised to see them here rather than at the Quartermaines’. She says Wiley likes the hotel pool better, plus it’s a beautiful night.

 

Nina walks in on her phone arguing with someone about Drew offering them a low rate to advertise on gym equipment, saying Crimson is an upscale magazine. She looks over and sees Drew take his shirt off and jump into the pool.

Nina ends up standing back and watches Wiley, Willow and Drew having fun in the pool. Nina decides to walk over and runs into Gio who drops his stack of towels. She says she’s sorry and helps him pick up the towels. Wiley sees her and runs over to his grandma. She says he’s gotten so big, and they hug after she wraps the wet boy in a towel. Both Drew and Willow smile.

Willow gets out of the pool to greet Nina, and Wiley asks if his grandma going to come swimming. Nina laughs she’s not dressed for it, and she came here to find his Uncle Drew. Drew gets out and asks Nina what she wants. Willow tells Wiley that he smells like chlorine, and Drew says he read about a cream in Crimson that you can rub on to keep the smell off you. Nina smiles at him.

Drew takes Wiley into the pool to let Willow and Nina talk. Willow says it seems she and Drew are getting along. Nina says she’s all for keeping the peace. As they watch Drew play with Wiley, Willow talks about how great he is with the kids. Nina admits she’s never seen Drew like this.

They sit down, and Nina tells her all about the all-natural cream Drew mentioned, and she says the magazine has a couple of boxes in storage and she can send her some. Nina realizes she may have overdone it just then, as she doesn’t need boxes of product, but Willow says it’s okay. Nina looks over at Drew in the pool, who looks back at her.

Later, Willow tells Wiley that they have to get home as she and Daddy have a date. Nina says she probably needs to get back to Crimson, but tells Wiley it was great spending time with him. Wiley wants to do it again. Nina tells him she hopes he and Amelia have lots of fun this summer and lots of adventures. Nina tells Willow it was nice seeing her, and Willow says the same, and also that Wiley loved this. Nina heads back to Crimson, and in the pool, Dew looks pleased.

Dex shows up and gets a towel from Gio, and they chat about him working at the pool for the summer. Their talk turns to the upcoming NBA finals, and Dex gives him advice that the lifeguard is a big sports fan, so if his team beats hers, don’t gloat.

Dex stops over to see Trina and Joss, and asks about Joss’ first day on the job. She sees his stitches are out, and Trina says she heard about what happened and it’s insane. Trina decides to go grab an iced tea and let them catch up.

Trina runs right into Gio, who jokes today he’s a human bumper car and is sorry. He says he was going to check in with Joss, but Trina suggests he hold off. She explains Joss and Dex used to be together, but now aren’t, and maybe are going to patch things up. Gio asks why they broke up. She says it has something to do with Joss’ ex-stepfather, Sonny Corinthos, who is awful. Gio says his family thinks his Uncle Sonny is second to the Pope. Trina says, “Uncle?” He explains he’s not really his uncle, but has been very good to him. Trina lets him know that everyone in Port Charles has an opinion of Sonny, and not all of them are good. He changes the subject to the funny look she had on her face when they met, and asks if they’ve met before?

Meanwhile, Dex talks with Joss and tells her about his talk with Sonny, who says he’s leaving the bad blood behind them. Joss says she can finally breathe again, and it’s a fair trade given he didn’t press charges. Dex is just ready to move forward and leave Sonny behind him.

Gio had to excuse himself to work, then gets back to Trina, and asks again if they’ve met before. Trina says they haven’t, but if she looks at him out of the corner of her eye, he looks like someone she used to be close to. Gio asks why they aren’t close anymore. She explains he died. Gio feels like an idiot, and Trina runs off.

Trina returns later, and Joss asks if Gio said something wrong, and if so, she can beat him up. Trina says Gio didn’t say anything wrong, it’s just that sometimes memories of Spencer hit her. Trina decides to go home for some alone time, and Joss lets her know she’s here for her.

Trina leaves, and Dex asks Joss if Trina is all right. Joss says not at the moment, but she will be, and grief just snuck up on her. Dex says they’ve all had some big losses lately, and every moment is precious, and life is short. Dex asks Joss to have dinner with him.

Chase and Brook Lynn return home. He’s angry that Finn would do this to his dad and Violet. Chase says he should have seen this, and he can’t believe Finn lied to him. Brook Lynn says that is part of the disease, and he has to give himself a break. Chase wants to help Finn, even though he’s madder than he’s ever been at him. Brook Lynn says right now their main priority has to be protecting Violet.

Brook Lynn brings him a bowl of food, and they continue discussing Finn’s issues. Brook Lynn says if Finn is in denial about his drinking, then he won’t think there is a problem with Violet. Chase asks how does this not end with one or both of them not hating them. Brook Lynn says Finn will hate anyone who confronts him about his drinking, and Violet may hate them for a while. Chase says it’s better than leaving her with Finn, and he can’t believe he said that. Brook Lynn asks if Violet has a passport. Chase doesn’t know, but why does she need one? Brook Lynn says they’ll take Violet to Italy with them on their honeymoon while Finn goes to rehab. Chase says Finn would likely charge them with kidnapping, and it’s a terrible idea. He jokes her family would be proud of her for coming up with it though, and he realizes she was just trying to take the edge off the situation.

Brook Lynn comes up with another idea and suggests they spend a few weeks with Violet at the Quartermaines and make it into a summer camp experience. Plus she’ll have plenty of other kids to play with there. While the other Qs pitch in to help, they can stage an intervention for Finn. Chase asks if Tracy will be okay with this. Brook Lynn says she and Finn are friends, so they’ll convince her this is for the best, and all the Quartermaines will help. Chase is on board, but worries if Finn does something he can’t take back, he’ll never recover, and there will be nothing left of the Finn they know.

At the Brown Dog, Jake and his friends Gordo and Dale slip into the bar. Jake is nervous, but his friends say nobody gets carded here. They pool their cash and Dale heads to the bar. Jake then notices Finn is at the bar drinking with a blonde.

At the bar, Finn and the woman down tequila shots. She admits she wasn’t sure she’d come over as she thought he might be one of those dark-brooding types, but she is glad she did as he is all kinds of fun. Finn drunkenly laments about his past with Doctor Without Borders, and the woman thinks he’s lived quite a life, and probably saved many too. He says not enough.

She asks his name, but Finn says they should leave the names out of it. He says to think of him as in town visiting family. Finn ends up bribing the bartender to sell him a bottle of booze, which he’s not supposed to do. The woman says she loves the sight of a man taking care of business, and Finn toasts to that.

Back in a booth, Jake tells Gordo that he has to go as his mom’s boyfriend is here. Gordo thought Jake said he was a good guy. Jake thought he was. Dale returns with the beers, and Jake is pushed to drink. He doesn’t want Finn to see him drinking. Gordo says Finn hasn’t taken his eyes off that woman, so he won’t get caught. Jake argues Finn’s dad just died, and he wouldn’t do this to his mom. When Finn and the woman lean in to kiss, Jake wants to confront him, but his friends stop him so they don’t all get busted. After Finn and the woman leave, Jake tells his friends that he has to get out of there.

Finn takes the woman back to his place, which is still littered with boxes of his dad’s things. The woman asks if this is from his Doctors Without Borders stuff. He simply says it’s hard to believe he lived that life, that was another person. She says she likes the doctor in front of her, but he says he doesn’t like anything about him. She says now isn’t the time to be sad, and anything he’s feeling, she can take away. She gives him a little peck on the lips, which quickly gets more passionate.

Jake arrives at the hospital where his mom, still in her memorial clothes, is doing a bit of work. Liz wasn’t expecting to see him until later, and he thought he was going to the movies with Gordo. Jake says he was, but on the way, they passed this sketchy dive bar, and Finn came out and he wasn’t alone. Liz assumes he found a drinking buddy. Jake says not exactly, he was with a lady, as in “with her, with her,” and it was clear they’d been drinking. Jake says he’s sorry, but she says he has nothing to apologize for. Jake didn’t want to tell her, but he had to. She says he did, and thanks him. She explains she’ll handle this when she’s done here. She tells Jake that she’ll see him at home

After Liz walks off, Jake calls someone and explains his mom has a situation and needs her.

Liz arrives at Finn’s place, and almost knocks on the door, but instead lets herself in. She sees the bottle of booze and some glasses on the table, and the woman is sitting on Finn’s lap and they are kissing. Finn finally looks up and over at Liz, who is stoically standing there with no emotion on her face.

On the next General Hospital: Finn begs to explain things to Liz. Jason arrives and orders Finn to get his hands off her. Tracy warns Brook Lynn and Chase to be prepared for Finn to disappoint them. Curtis tells Drew it’s the right time to do this. On their date, Willow tells Michael if Drew can start fresh with Nina then why can’t she? Nina tells Maxie, “This is the price to pay for dancing with the devil.”
