Sonny Confronts Dex and Has Surprising Words for Him — and Kristina and Dante Discuss Their Father
At the gatehouse, Willow thinks Drew should be honored and excited to run for Congress. He asks what makes her think he can do this? She says he risked her life for her and her family, plus he cares about people, so think about what he could do with this job and how many people he could help.
Michael enters, and he asks if he’s interrupting a work thing. Willow says Drew has exciting news. They sit down, and Drew tells Michael about the congressman asking him to run for his seat. Drew asks Michael his opinion, as he knows there would be implications for Aurora. Michael says it’s a dicey time to split focus with the launch of the wellness division. Michael also says if he’s elected, he’ll have to put his stock in a blind trust, which the SEC will be watching, and he’d be depriving Aurora of his personal vision and guidance. He can’t give him his full support on this.
Willow pleads that people don’t trust politicians nowadays, and politicians don’t do enough for the people they serve. She says McLunky was a rare one, and he’s selected Drew to take his seat. She says Drew is a war veteran, and his money means he won’t need special interest groups or lobbyists. She says Drew needs to do this. Michael says she’s convinced him, and Drew says she convinced him too, and this is an opportunity to make things better. He says if he does this, he’ll need help from them, and Michael and Willow say they are all in.
At Bobbie’s, Molly and Dante catch up when Dex walks in. Molly heads out, and Dante thanks Dex for meeting him. Dex lets Dante know he’s not filing charges against Sonny. He doesn’t want to make Kristina testify against her father as it could be a strain on the baby. He also says Sonny likely won’t get much time, and on his release, he’d have him killed, if not while in prison. Dante says he spoke with his father, and he realized he had misjudged his father the same way he had misjudged him.
Dante notes that he avoided him at the station so people wouldn’t think he was trying to pressure him to back off Sonny. Dex was doing to same for his sake too. Dante admits he is grateful that he’s not pressing charges for Kristina’s sake. Dex knows how much Sonny loves his kids, and that he doesn’t want to let them down. Dante says he’s begining to have his doubts on that.
Outside, Blaze runs into Molly. Molly asks if she’s seen Kristina lately. Blaze says she just left Kristina at her mom’s house to check on Alexis. Molly is headed there, and Blaze suggests they all hang out sometime. Molly is down for that, as it would give them a chance to talk about what happened at this wedding. Blaze says Kristina is a little fragile now, but she’s okay. Molly is confused, and Blaze assumed she knew because she mentioned the wedding. Blaze doesn’t feel it’s her place to tell her, but Molly doesn’t want to question Kristina and make her feel like it’s an interrogation. Blaze tells her that Kristina saw her father attack Dex. Molly just saw Dex’s face, and says no wonder she’s upset. Blaze says she was, but she’s doing fine. Molly thanks her and takes off.
At Alexis’, Sam and Kristina talk about the wedding and Gregory’s passing. Kristina still worries about their mom drinking if this hearing doesn’t go her way. Sam says Mom is a lot stronger than they give her credit for, and so is she. Kristina asks why she’s been included in that statement? Sam knows Kristina is fiercely loyal and protective of those she loves, but she needs to protect herself, too. Sam believes when it comes to doing the right thing, she believes Kristina will do it, no matter the cost to Sonny.
Kristina guesses she knows what happened at the wedding. Sam says she’s worried about her carrying this weight. Kristina says Dex already decided not to press charges. Sam asks how she feels about this. Kristina doesn’t want her dad to go to prison, but he knows that she knows what he did, and he should have to face some consequences.

Alexis returns home, and she tells her girls they didn’t have to upend their day to come over. Sam says they brought lunch, and Kristina asks about Albany. Alexis says they’ll talk about that when Molly gets here.
Molly soon arrives, and Alexis fills them in on the hearing. She says Neil’s brother was the opposing counsel, and he fought dirty. She is preparing herself for a ruling against her, and it will take thirty days for it to come down. Alexis also reveals it was Ava Jerome who turned her in for perjury.
The Davis girls all sit down for lunch. Kristina gets a text from Dante, who she hasn’t talked to since everything went down. Sam offers to drive her, and they leave.
Alone, Alexis asks Molly what is up as she didn’t touch much of her food. Alexis says she doesn’t have to worry that she’ll start drinking if that’s on her mind. Molly says she’s proud of her, but she has other things on her mind. Molly tells Alexis that Sonny lost it and assaulted Dex right in front of Kristina. Molly says Kristina didn’t tell her about any of this, and she had to hear it from Blaze. She doesn’t know if she didn’t tell her because she’s the ADA or because she’ll hover. She can’t even bring this up to her without her making a big deal about it. So, she doesn’t know if she tells TJ or not because if she does, then he’ll go straight to Kristina to check on her as well. Alexis tells Molly the goal here is a calm and centered Kristina, and for that to be achieved, Molly can’t rile her up. Alexis says she’ll serve as a buffer between her and Sonny. Molly says as soon as this baby comes, she will keep Kristina and her drama far away from her.
Sonny runs into Joss in the park. She tries to ignore him, but he says if she has something to say, then say it. She tells him he used to be her stepfather and he was there for her when Oscar died, but he’s not that person anymore. She says he should be in jail for attacking Dex unprovoked and threatening to kill him and Jason. She informs him that he lucked out as Dex isn’t pressing charges because of his kids. She says Kristina was such a wreck that she went to Michael, the son he’s cast off, and he went to Dex to fix things. She warns him if he lays his hands on Dex again, just know he has the ability to do so because Dex had the grace to let him go. Joss jogs off.
Later, Blaze runs into Joss in the park. Joss asks how Kristina is doing. Blaze says she is doing better, but she let it slip to Molly what happened with Sonny. Blaze tells Joss she owes her an apology as she was right about Sonny. Joss says Kristina’s blinders are off now, and part of her wishes that this didn’t happen and that Kristina was still safe with her illusions of Sonny.
Sonny comes across Dex, who is studying a police academy manual. Sonny tells him to relax, and he just wants to talk to him. Dex says if this is an ambush, he won’t take it lying down. Sonny says, “Noted.”
Sonny sits down and reveals he heard Dex isn’t filing charges. Dex explais he isn’t, for Kristina’s sake. Sonny knows that, and he appreciates that. Sonny says as far as he’s concerned, this bad blood is over between them. Sonny says he’s a distraction and he has more important things to deal with. Dex comments that he’s never known him to back off a grudge. Sonny says Dex doesn’t know him at all, and that he’s not worth his time and energy. Sonny says, “You’re nothing to me now, for your sake, keep it that way.”
Kristina arrives to meet Dante at Bobbie’s. Kristina says she’s been all over the place since the attack happened, and she couldn’t believe that was her dad in that moment. The man she saw was ugly and full of rage. Kristina knows Dante has seen him like that before, such as the time Sonny shot him. Dante says it wasn’t the same, he was cold, emotionless like stone. Kristina says it was an accident, though, and that’s why he didn’t go to jail.
Dante admits it wasn’t an accident, and he lied about it being one. Dante says when he was working for Sonny undercover, he fell in love with her and Michael, and he felt they were a family before he knew they were. He also says he remembered what it was like growing up without a father, so when he woke up at GH, Lulu told him he had a father, and that’s why he didn’t turn him in. Finding he had a father was a gift, one he wasn’t going to lose no matter who his father was. Kristina knows Dex isn’t pressing charges for her, and she’s glad she won’t have to testify, but part of her is scared she’s making things worse. She says if something else happens, that will be on her. Dante says it will be on him too.
Maxie returns home to Spinelli helping James and Georgie clean up James’ laptop of cookies, which is making it run slow. Felicia welcomes Maxie home, and the kids sing Spinelli’s praises and want him to move back in. Felicia quickly suggests to the kids they go for ice cream to let Maxie and Spinelli talk.
Maxie admits she misses having him here as much as the kids do and would love it if he moved back in. Spinelli can’t believe he’s saying this, but he has to decline. He says he loves her, and he doesn’t want them to be roommates but instead a real couple. Maxie says she does, too, so he asks how this would work. Would they share a bedroom? Is she ready for that? Maxie isn’t and wants to take things slowly. She thinks he can move back into the guest room, or will it be too difficult to wait until she’s ready? Spinelli says, in a way, he’s always been waiting for her, and he can wait as long as needed. Maxie asks, “So you’ll move in, and we’ll date?” He says nothing would delight him more, and they kiss.
Felicia returns with the kids, and Spinelli shares the news that he’s moving back in. The kids rush up to them and they all hug.
On the next General Hospital: Laura and Jodan discussed leak information that’s made it to the press. Curtis tells Portia there has to be something more to the story. Chase asks Liz if she doesn’t think he’s earned a little understanding. Cates tells someone, “You’re playing right into his hands.” Jason warns Sonny that he is in real trouble. Carly tells Molly she has something to say that stays between them.
